About Istanbul Tanpınar Literature Festival
The Istanbul Tanpınar Literature Festival establishes an annual forum for followers of Turkish and international literature. Authors, publishers, critics, translators and members of the press from around the world will have the opportunity to meet, discuss and exchange ideas and discover more about the rich literary voices coming out of Turkey today.
The festival was born from a dream, a vision shared by several individuals passionate about contemporary writing and literary heritage, who thought that the thriving Istanbul literary scene was incomplete without an international festival of literature and the organisers would like to thank all those who have made ITEF possible and contributed to the planning of the programme, and in particular Literature Across Frontiers without whose encouragement and support the festival would not be taking place.
Join us in celebrating the magic of literature in the magical city of Istanbul.
